Sesemat Hostel building was funded by the Irish Aid Government and was designed to accommodate 140 Science and Mathematics teachers on residential courses.
The design is a 3 storied H shaped structure with a basement level to allow for extra parking spaces while taking advantage of the sloping terrain. The facility is oriented North – East/ South – West direction owing to the restrictions of the site.
Proplan gave considerable attention to minimising the operation and maintenance costs of the facilities. Therefore, many building elements are finished in fair-faced brickwork, polished concrete and terrazzo.
